The story takes place in Eden Valley - a quaint small village where neighbors take care of each other and no one locks their doors on their gingerbread-like houses.

Eden Valley is like walking in Yosemite Valley between El Capitan and Half Dome where contact with outsiders seems a world away.

The embrace of the neighboring mountains protects its’ inhabitants in a magical mist where the morning dew dances and the warmth of the afternoon breeze is like sunshine kisses.

The gentle caress of nature and the scent of pine trees calm your every breath.

It’s the perfect imaginary place where, in the center of town, is a tree-lined central park called The Garden of Eden.

Mother Nature (Demi Green – short for Demeter), who is several hundred years old, needs to find her replacement according to the by-laws of the “Code of Tawantinsuyu”, a natural law of the universe or the world will suffer an endless wrath of famine and floods.

Typically, the responsibility of Mother Nature is passed down from mother to daughter.

But in this case, the daughter (Persi Green – short for Persephone) is living a coincidental and appropriate “green life” but really doesn’t want to follow in her mothers footsteps.

The law is that the new Mother Nature needs to be single and less than 100 years old when crowned.

Persi (daughter) is about to get married and have a birthday.

Persi unknowingly is 99 years old and just about to turn 100.

Demi (Mother Nature) has only a short time to get Persi to become the new Mother Nature to avoid disaster.

At the beginning of the movie, Persi doesn’t know that her mother (Demi) is Mother Nature.

Persi and her fiancée “Trip” Akers run a local plastic and aluminum recycling company.  (Trip is short for Triptolemus.)

(Later named Green-Akers Recycling Center)

Trip thinks that Demi (Mother Nature) doesn’t like him because of his job, which is obviously not true.

Trip is always trying to impress Demi and win her over.

Father Time (Nicholas Green) is Persi’s father and is a quiet and reserved man.

Nicholas walks with a weathered old cane made from the most perfectly marbled oak and in the center of the amber handle is an antique timepiece.  He runs a clock repair shop called Once Upon A Time.  Whoever uses the cane is Father Time.  In the backroom of his repair shop he plays poker with his buddies.

Conflict arises when Mother Nature’s jealous sister (Heddi – nickname for Hera) wants to become Mother Nature when the daughter initially doesn’t want to.

Both Demi and her sister (Heddi) have “powers” and there are fights and arguments between the two that culminate with lightning bolts and thunder and unexpected weather bursts.

Nicholas (Father Time) tells his daughter she has always had magical powers and will soon become the new Mother Nature.

Demi is upset because it has always been the right for Mother Nature to pass along her powers to her daughter and teach her how to use them.

Demi seeks the assistance of her husband (Nicholas Green – who is Father Time) so he can stop time and they can talk with their daughter.

Demi also seeks help from her mother (Gigi – nickname for Gaia) for advice.

Gigi is the Grand Dame Mother Nature and still has minor powers but rarely uses them.

Because of the conflict between Demi and Heddi, and the possibility that Persi won’t be crowned the new Mother Nature in time, Gigi has a small heart attack and ends up in the hospital.

Persi goes to Father Time (Nicholas) for advice.

He is wise, cool and says the perfect words to fix any situation.

Persi witnesses the special bond between Demi and her mother Gigi at the hospital and agrees to become Mother Nature after a “trial and error” period on her own.

At the end of the movie, Persi and Trip are married in The Garden of Eden.

The night before the wedding, Persi tells Trip that she is now the new Mother Nature and shows him her new powers.  During their celebration Trip sprains his ankle.

The next morning (the day of the wedding and Persi’s birthday) Nicholas gives Trip his cane to help him walk down the aisle.

When Persi is walked down the aisle by Nicholas, she notices he is not using his cane.

When Persi and Nicholas turn the corner in plain view of Trip, she notices he is using the cane and realizes he is now the new Father Time.

When Persi (obsessed with time and punctuality) gets to the alter she asks Trip what time it is.  Trip looks at the cane with the watch and it reads exactly 12 noon.

Persi giggles and shares a private moment with Demi and Nicholas and Gigi.

During the ceremony, Trip becomes nervous and mutters “wait” and, because of his new “powers”, the whole ceremony freezes and everything stops.

Persi leans over and whispers to him that he is now the new Father Time.

With his newfound amazement, they kiss in a private moment until they both realize everyone is still frozen.

Trip “un-freezes” everyone by tapping the cane on the ground.

At the end of the movie – Persi and Trip are carried up and out of the wedding ceremony by Peggy (the white flying unicorn) in a horse-and-buggy.

And they live happily ever after…forever!
